Director of several national and foreign companies, member of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), of the Advisory Council of the Center for Public Studies (CEP), of the Chilean Bar Association, president of the Minera Los Pelambres Foundation, president of the Luksic Educational Foundation, president of the Chile-Japan Business Council of Sofofa, and member of the arbitration body of the Arbitration and Mediation Center of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce. He has also served as vice-president of the National Mining Society (SONAMI for its acronym in Spanish) and as director of Empresa Nacional de Petróleos S.A. (ENAP) and Antofagasta Terminal Internacional S.A.
